firefighters tackled a big blaze at a waste landfill site near Bridgwater
were initially called to the site at Bristol Road, Walpole shortly
before 11pm on Thursday evening but continued to tackle the blaze.
engines from Bridgwater, Burnham, Taunton and Nether Stowey were
called along with water carriers from Bridgwater and Yeovil plus
high volume pumps from Wellington.
