Photos: Burnham-On-Sea to Brean walk held in memory of Joe

Dozens of people joined a sponsored walk in Burnham-On-Sea on Sunday (July 9th) to raise funds for the children's ward at Musgrove Park Hospital.

Mel Bax organised the 'Walk For Joe' in memory of Joe Laoutaris, a 12 year-old who died of cancer in 2015.

Sunday's event saw the walkers gathering at Highbridge's Apex Park Car Park before heading to Brean Down and back.

The 14-mile walk started at Apex Park, as pictured here, while a shorter 7-mile walk started on Brean beach.

Mel who is Joe's mother, told "Thanks go to everyone who supported the event - we completed the 14 miles in just under 5 and half hours with a break for ice cream and drinks at Brean Cafe."

"More people joined us at the 7-mile mark to walk back to Burnham. The sun shone down on us yet again, and thank go to everyone who walked and supported us."
