A Burnham-On-Sea fire crew was called to Brent Knoll on Wednesday evening (April 12th) to gain entry to a building and free a stranded elderly person.
The crew was called to Station Road in Brent Knoll shortly before 7pm.
“A fire appliance from Burnham-On-Sea was mobilised following a call from the wife of an elderly gentleman who had got locked in a downstairs toilet and was suffering from ill health,” explained a fire spokesman.
“Shortly after arriving, our crew was quickly able to gain entry, using small tools, and release the gentleman, unharmed, into the care of his wife.”
