A Burnham-On-Sea fibromyalgia support group is set to move into The Princess Theatre when the town’s Learning Centre closes later this month.

As we first reported earlier this week, Burnham-On-Sea’s adult learning centre is closing this month due to government funding cuts.

The Fibromyalgia HEART of Somerset Support Group has been based at the centre for almost four years, and has had to find a new home at short notice.

The group’s Sam Merries told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “As you are aware Somerset Skills and Learning is closing at the end of December, which has been where Fibromyalgia HEART of Somerset Support Group have been based and we are unfortunately losing our home.”

“We have been searching for a new venue and have found a new home at Burnham’s Princess Theatre in the Pizey Room in Princess Street.”

“We are keen to let people know that we are still running and are just locating to a new home.”

“We will be beginning the New Year with a new venue and looking forward to a busy year ahead on Monday 8th January 2018 at 1.30pm – 3.30pm.”

The group will hold one final session at the Somerset Skills and Learning Centre in Princess Street on Monday 18th December 2017 when its Christmas party will be held.
