former MP judges schools debating competition
and Highbridge students have taken part in a unique debating competitition
Alfred School's Sixth Form hosted and starred in the English Speaking
Union's Schools' Mace, a prestigious debating competition held on
Wednesday 29th November.
other participating teams were all from the private sector: Bristol
Grammar School, Badminton School, Queen Elizabeth's Hospital School
and Millfield School.
judges were Cllr Tessa Munt, who was the former Liberal Democrat
MP for the Burnham-On-Sea area from 2010-2015, and Siobhan Casey,
a solicitor advocate specialising in criminal, children, family
and domestic violence law.
