National Cream Tea Day is to be celebrated at a Burnham-On-Sea guesthouse when it serves up traditional teas.

The Round Tower Guest House on Burnham’s North Esplanade will be holding the event on Friday 30th June 2017 between 11am and 4.30pm.

A traditional English Cream Tea consisting of a scone, jam and clotted cream with a cup of tea, or cake and coffee, will be on sale.

“Customers will be able to enjoy spectacular views over Bridgwater Bay while they enjoy their cream tea, either in our dining room or outside in our garden,” says organiser Phoebe Pearce.

“This is a quintessentially English tradition and I am looking forward to celebrating this day with our customers.”

“It is a day like St George’s Day or the solstice where people come together to celebrate life and enjoy themselves.”
