The votes are being counted after thousands of residents in the Burnham-On-Sea area were able to vote in the Somerset County Council elections on Thursday (May 4th).

Polling stations across the Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge area reported a busy day of voting with the good weather appearing to help the turnout.

Counting of the votes is underway and Bridgwater and the results are due to be announced in the early hours of today.

The candidates standing in the local divisions of Somerset County Council within the Burnham-On-Sea area are listed below:
