Two helicopters landed on Brean Down on Sunday (September 10th) after a walker suffered a heart attack.

Ambulances, Police and Coastguards were called to an area at the top of the steps where where the casualty had suffered a serious attack and was in a serious condition.

The Coastguard helicopter and a separate air ambulance were called to the scene, alongside land ambulance crews, to help the man.

Our photos show the helicopters at the scene on Sunday afternoon, as they touched down to help the man.

Burnham Coastguard Officer Dave Welland told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "We were initially called to assist the ambulance service reach the casualty on Brean Down."

"We also set up two helicopter landing sites for the two helicopters to safely land and help the casualty."

The man received treatment at the scene from members of the public and paramedics. His condition was not immediately clear.
