Biker dies after serious crash that shut A370 near Burnham-On-Sea

Police have appealed for witnesses following a fatal collision near Burnham-On-Sea on Saturday (April 1st).

The collision involving a car and a motorbike took place on the A370 Weston Road at approximately 2.40pm in Edingworth.

A motorbike collided with a Ford Fiesta and, sadly, the motorcyclist, a man in his 60’s, died as a result of the injuries he sustained.

“We need to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or saw the motorbike on the A370 prior to the incident,” Police spokesman Scott McPherson told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact us on 101 and quote log number 601 of 1/4.”

Police closed the A370 at East Brent for over two hours, as pictured here, after the serious collision in which two other people were also hurt.
