Traditional charity wassailing evening near Burnham tonight

-

Cider lovers in the Burnham-On-Sea area will be able to wish good health on apple crops for the coming year during a wassailing event this evening (Saturday).

The centuries-old tradition of wassailing will take place near Burnham-On-Sea on Saturday January 16th at 7pm.

Rich’s Cider Farm in Watchfield will hold its traditional event, with entertainment from The Skimmity Hitchers and Bob Darch Music.

The annual wassail raises money for local charities and this year the money is going to the RNLI’s lifeboat appeal in Burnham.

Tickets are available, priced at £7.50 each, from the cider farm’s website here. Children under 12 are free. Hot food will be available, along with a fully licenced bar.
