Burnham-On-Sea Rotary Club’s Swimarathon to take place today

-

Burnham-On-Sea Rotary Club’s fifth annual Swimarathon takes place at Brean Splash today (Sunday, February 7th).

The Rotary’s Swimarathons have proved highly popular with local voluntary organisations and businesses raising substantial sums of money for their chosen charities over the past four years.

This year’s event will follow the lines of last year and medals and certificates will be presented to all participants.

An entry fee will be payable to the Rotary Club for each team entered and all teams will retain the money they raise by sponsorship, and if they represent charitable organisations their charities will be able to claim Gift Aid where applicable.

Standard sponsorship forms will be available from the Rotary Club for the use of participating teams.

Teams may consist of between two and eight swimmers and more than one team may be entered by any group or business.

Many local organisations in the Burnham-On-Sea area have already entered teams and more are welcome, says organiser Terry Spragg. Further details are available from Terry on 01278 788736.
