Local artists sought to illustrate Burnham-On-Sea Shopper’s Guide

-

Artists across the Burnham-On-Sea area are being given an opportunity to have their work displayed in 40,000 copies of a new edition of the town’s shopping guide brochure.

Burnham-On-Sea Chamber of Trade is currently working on a new 2017 edition of the pocket-sized publication, which features the town’s best shops, businesses and facilities and is distributed across the region to encourage visitors.

“The Chamber is keen to encourage local artists to get involved and we’re inviting artistic interpretations of town centre shops and attractions to be submitted to us for possible inclusion,” said a spokesman.

“We will require up to 40 images to be produced within a two month period – it’s a great opportunity to have your artwork featured in this popular brochure.”

“Interested artists need to act quickly. Initially, we are asking you to draw, sketch or paint an A4-sized image of the exterior of Burnham’s Ritz Cinema in Victoria Street in any style you wish.”

“Send them to us for review via the Chamber of Trade Secretary at KDS Interiors, Victoria Street, Burnham with your full contact details by 5pm on June 16th, 2016. We will then be reviewing them and letting the successful artist know soon after.”
