A social gathering in aid of Moose International legion day has been held in Brean this week.

More than 68 representatives and other legion members travelled from across the country for a day of renewal and updates.

During the morning ceremonial ritual, four new members were inducted into the degree of service, with two from Burnham-on-Sea Lodge 123.

This was followed by a social gathering in the main function room, and a roast dinner.

After-dinner toasts included an address delivered by National Legion secretary Pilgrim Kevan Randall.

Kevan talked about lodges and legions across the country, encouraging members to stand together, obey all the rules and not let the standard drop.

The new legion members after their enrolment were Rhys Hamblin from Tredegar No 1, John Holmes from Burnham-On-Sea lodge 123, Chris White from Burnham-On-Sea lodge 123, and Anthony Thicket from Oldbury Langley lodge 95.
