Burnham-On-Sea Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was killed in West Huntspill at the weekend.

A Toyota Yaris being driven along the A38 in a southbound direction near the junction with Old Pawlett Road was in collision with the nearside kerb and went down a roadside bank, colliding with a tree at 6am on Sunday morning (April 24th).

Police spokesman Wayne Baker told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We are appealing for witnesses following death of the car driver.”

“The driver – a man – was declared dead at the scene shortly afterwards.”

“We are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident who may have information to assist our enquiries.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Police’s Collision Investigation Unit by calling 101, quoting reference CI-74/16/1717.
