A Highbridge children’s activity centre has been nominated for a top accolade as part of a nationwide awards scheme.

Little Bouncers Play & Sensory Time, based in Walrow Road, Highbridge, is one of the nominees for the ‘Best New Activity For Children’ category for the prestigious What’s On 4 2016 Junior Awards.

The annual awards scheme celebrates its tenth anniversary this year with a record 5,500 nominations.

The awards scheme covers 23 different categories and seeks to celebrate the UK’s best activities, classes, people and places for children as nominated and voted for by parents, carers and parents-to-be.

As a nominee in the Best New Activity For Children category, Little Bouncers Play & Sensory Time have received several nominations and have gone through to the national voting stage!

Each and every children’s activity, party supplier, class leader, family day out and volunteer from throughout the UK had the opportunity to be nominated and the number this year reflects the huge support from the nations’ parents for these exciting awards and parents’ eagerness to reward the very best!

Hayley and Kirsty from Little Bouncers Play & Sensory Time said: “We are very thankful to all our little bouncers who nominated us. We are very passionate about providing an enabling environment and classes that aid our little bouncers’ learning, allowing them to have fun whilst exploring independently. We are proud to be members of the CAA.”

Parents can vote here from now until 11th May 2016 to vote for their favourites from all of the nominees which have qualified. Over 100,000 votes are expected this year.

The winners will be announced at a live awards ceremony and sparkling celebratory reception on 23rd June, with much loved children’s TV star Sid Sloane as special guest and hosted by Lucy Piper.

Everyone who votes or nominates will also be in with a chance to win 2 VIP tickets to attend the awards ceremony and reception and meet the winners, finalists, sponsors and VIPs.

What’s On 4 Events Director Suzanne Borrell said: “In this, our 10th anniversary year with the highest number of nominations received ever, it’s still so moving and humbling to read the testimonials from parents on how these amazing nominees have made such a difference to their and their children’s lives – from empowering birthing classes to those teachers developing and enhancing children’s confidence, talent and abilities.”

“To be nominated by parents means so much and we expect our most thrilling and closest fought contest to date! I am especially excited regarding our new venue – Chessington World of Adventures and our newest award, for the Children’s Activities Association Member of the Year. The champagne will be on ice and we can’t wait to reveal all our 2016 winners!”
