Burnham-On-Sea enjoyed its warmest day of the year so far on Sunday (June 5th) with thermometers hitting 25.6°C (78.8°F) as the warm weather continues.

Beach users in Burnham enjoyed this glorious sunset and high tide at the end of a superb day with the hot weather set to continue through the week.

Sunday’s maximum temperature in Burnham was 25.6C at 5.04pm, and the average daytime temperature was 20.2C – both new highs for 2016.

The hot weather also brought a boost to traders in Burnham, with queues for ice creams, cool drinks and beach items at seafront businesses.

A Burnham Chamber of Trade spokesman said: “It was great to see lots of visitors enjoying the good weather at the end of what has been a busy half-term school holiday period. Most shops and tourist attractions in Burnham-on-Sea are telling us they’ve had a good week.”
