Bright sunshine brought out the crowds to a free outdoor music in Highbridge town centre on Sunday afternoon (September 18th).

Over 300 people attended the event at The Rec playing fields in the town, where they were entertained by Rustique, the Polden Mountain Boys, Nick and Chris, and Breeze.

Organiser Mike Murphy, Chairman of organising group CADS (Burnham and Highbridge Cultural Arts and Development Society), told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “This was our first event at the Rec and the location was a triumph – we had lots of positive feedback.”

“Families were able to use the play park while also enjoying the music in a great open space. It marks the start of a new location for free music events in Highbridge with a planned Musicfest in 2017.”

The event was originally due to go ahead in August but was postponed last month due to poor weather.
