at Brean Leisure Park: Burnham-On-Sea crews tackle blaze
quick action of Burnham-On-Sea firefighters has been praised after
a blaze at Brean Leisure Park last night (Saturday).
van parked next to the Brean Play building caught fire, as pictured
here, with concerns that it could spread to the next door building.
and smoke billowed out of the vehicle as two fire crews from Burnham-On-Sea
and Bridgwater tackled the incident just after 9.20pm.

spreading to the multi-million pound Brean Play and Brean Splash
Leisure Park director Alan House told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "We're
very grateful to the fire crews for their quick work - it could
have quickly spread and been more serious."
the fire was contained, and was put out by the crews without it
spokesman added: "our crews confirmed the van was well alight
on arrival, and located several LPG cylinders but confirmed they
were not involved."

of the fire was confirmed as accidental, due to an electrical fault
in some freezers."

crews confirmed to Burnham-On-Sea.com that no-one had been hurt
or injured in the incident.
Brean Play building sited next to the vehicle was not affected,
thanks to the quick actions of the fire crews from Burnham-On-Sea
