Cycling accountants pedal into Burnham-On-Sea on fundraising run

-

A team of fundraising accountants cycled into Burnham-On-Sea on Friday during a 150km ride between offices to mark their firm’s special anniversary.

The event – for Weston Hospicecare – was held to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Albert Goodman, which has a branch in Burnham’s College Street.

A spokesman said: “Starting at the Weymouth offices, the team began their cycle spending approximately eight hours in the saddle, stopping at offices in Yeovil, Chard, Taunton, Bridgwater, Burnham-On-Sea and Wedmore, before finally crossing the finish line at Weston-super-Mare.”

“Each office hosted a mini party for the cyclists on arrival, selling cakes and refreshments, with all contributions being equally divided between each of the charities. Further to the donations made at each pit stop, the Albert Goodman partners matched the money raised by the cyclists’ efforts.”
