Two dogs have been rescued by fire crews from a 4×4 after getting trapped inside following an accident near Burnham-On-Sea on Friday evening (December 16th).

Fire crews from Burnham-On-Sea and Cheddar were called to Rooksbridge at 5.10pm where the vehicle had collided into an electricity pole.

“Crews confirmed this to be a collision involving a 4×4 vehicle with a pole, in which the vehicle was left in a precarious position. All persons were free and clear of the incident, but two dogs were still inside the vehicle,” said a spokesman.

“Crews made the area safe and awaited the arrival of Western Power Distribution before releasing the two dogs from the vehicle. Duty of care was handed over to the vehicle owner and the Police.”
