Burnham-On-Sea’s Marine Cove to hold Easter family fun event

-

A special Easter egg hunt and family activities will take place at Burnham-On-Sea’s Marine Cove Gardens this Saturday (26th March).

The Easter-themed event will have lots of free activities, including balloon modelling, available between 10am-12 noon.

Vistors will be able to take part in an Easter egg hunt, craft activities and balloon modelling with an Easter twist with Balloonitude.

Children are also encouraged to wear Easter bonnets to take part in a bonnet competition and parade around the seafront gardens.

After the Easter family fun ends at mid-day, the volunteers and Community Gardener will remain in the gardens, which are situated next to St Andrew’s Church on Burnham’s Esplanade, to complete some Spring maintenance and those interested in helping out should come dressed appropriately.

Once Easter has been and gone for another year there is an opportunity to burn off some of the Easter goodies by joining the second in a series of four health walks from Marine Cove Gardens.

A health walk will take place on Wednesday 30th March starting at 10am from Marine Cove. The route will take in a circular walk to Apex Park incorporating The Esplanade, River Brue and Marine Drive.

Further walks will take place on 27th April and 25th May also leaving at 10am from the gardens. The walks will be undertaken on flat level terrain suitable for families and are likely to take up to an hour.

If you would like more information on any of these events please contact the Community Gardener, Jacqui Strong, via community.services@sedgemoor.gov.uk or call 01278 435435.
