Tributes paid to Burnham-On-Sea community fundraiser Clive Salter

-

Tributes have this week been paid to a Burnham-On-Sea fundraiser and well-known resident who has passed away.

Clive Salter, 56, has died after being diagnosed with cancer just a month ago.

He was well known locally as a painter and decorator. He was also a keen fundraiser at Burnham-On-Sea Lions Club who helped to organise many community events in the Burnham area.

Colin Rufus, President of Burnham Lions, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Clive was a very well respected and active member of the club who received the President’s Award for his work. He was very much liked by members and this has come as a shock to us all. He will be greatly missed.”

His funeral will be held on Friday May 20th at Sedgemoor Crematorium at 10.45am.

Family flowers only. Donations will go to Macmillan Nurses. He leaves his wife Mel and daughter Tash.
