Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge Choral Society will be performing the popular ‘The Armed man’, a Mass for Peace, at St Andrew’s Church this Saturday (April 23rd).

Tickets, priced at £7.50 and £4 for children, are available from Material Needs in Burnham High Street, choir members, or on the door.

The concert will be held at 7.30pm and it will be the second time that the choir have sung this piece of music by Karl Jenkins, the previous time being in 2006 when they were the first Somerset choir to perform it.

“In 2015 some of the members were also lucky enough to sing this at the Royal Albert Hall, in front of the composer who was in the audience,” said a spokesewoman.

“This year’s performance will be led by Nicholas Bromilow. They will be accompanied by a small vibrant orchestral ensemble and soloist Katy Garden.”

The choir will also be singing a selection from ‘Joseph and his Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat’.
