Police appeal for witnesses after ten vehicles are ‘keyed’ in Berrow

-

Vandals have caused hundreds of pounds of damage to parked vehicles in Berrow, angering residents this week.

Burnham-On-Sea Police say ten vehicles were ‘keyed’ in the attacks, leaving deep scratches along the sides.

The vehicles were parked in Julians Acres in Berrow, pictured, and the spate of incidents occurred late on Wednesday evening (May 18th).

Berrow Parish Council Chairman Barry Kew told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “I would encourage any residents with information or who saw anyone acting suspiciously to get in contact with the Police. We hope they are caught soon.”

One resident told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “This is a re-occurring problem – it’s incredibly frustrating and is costing us money in repairs.”

Officers are investigating the incident and Burnham-On-Sea Police are asking for anyone with information to contact them on the non-emergency number 101. Residents who have not reported any damage should also contact the Police.
