Police are asking residents in the Burnham-On-Sea area to be extra security-conscious following a spate of break-ins over the past week.

In the latest incident, a home was broken into in Worston Road, Highbridge on Friday afternoon (May 20th) and valuables taken.

“We were called to a burglary in Worston Road at 3.30pm and our investigations are ongoing,” confirmed a police spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

A home was also broken into in Parsonage Road, Berrow last week, along with a second property in the village.

A further property in Church Close, East Huntspill was also targeted by burglars mid-week when a rear window was smashed to gain entry.

Burnham-On-Sea Police are asking residents to double check security and to report suspicious activity on the police’s non-emergency number, 101.
