Help find brooch accidentally donated to Burnham-On-Sea charity shop

-

A Burnham-On-Sea woman is appealing for help in locating a missing brooch that has huge sentimental value to her family after it was accidentally donated to a charity in the town.

The brooch belonged to her 80-year-old grandma and it has been accidentally donated to the RSPCA charity shop.

The brooch is not worth much but it was one of the last presents that her grandfather gave to her grandma before he died.

Laura Kilduff said: “My mum and auntie were helping to get some of my grandma’s bits to charity shops locally as she has been in hospital for more than eight weeks and it is looking likely she has to move into a home.”

“A dragonfly brooch was accidentally left on a coat that was given to the RSPCA in town. We have been in to the shop and they think it must have been sold.”

“There is no value to the brooch at all, apart from the sentimental kind, as it was a gift to my grandma from my grandad just before he passed away.”

“Her grandma is understandably upset and the family are now trying to locate the dragonfly brooch.”

“The brooch may even still be on the coat which is described as being grey and bum length.”

“If someone has bought it, we wouldn’t mind buying it back. If anyone has any idea of its whereabouts, please let me know. It’s really important to our family.”
