Burnham martial arts instructor heads to boxing ring for charity bout

-

A Burnham-On-Sea martial arts instructor has been training on the town’s beach ahead of a charity boxing match tonight (Saturday).

Craig Bissett, who runs B-Elite martial arts and fitness classes in Burnham and Highbridge, is taking part in the charity fight to help raise funds for charities that help terminally ill children.

His training programme has included practising on the beach to help improve his stamina and technique. He is pictured training with Bobby Jones who runs boxing classes for adults and children in Highbridge.

The charity boxing match is being held at Wellsprings Leisure Centre in Taunton and Craig Bissett is facing Mark Glanville who is also raising money for terminally ill children.

Promise Dreams help to make dreams come true for seriously and terminally ill children and their families across the UK.

Craig said: “I would like to thank everyone for their ongoing support. I have been working really hard to get ready for this fight and do everyone proud.”

“I have been training three times a week, one of which is with the current ABA Champion, so I’ve been really getting pushed!”
