Highbridge’s Asda store gives Burnham-On-Sea lifeboat station a boost

-

Highbridge’s Asda supermarket has given Burnham-On-Sea RNLI a financial boost this week by presenting £500 to the group.

Staff at the store handed over the cheque to the team after Chris Harris, a Burnham-On-Sea Moose International lodge 123 member, wrote a letter to the supermarket nominating the lifeboat station for an entry into the monthly green token award scheme.

Moose Governor Ron Fisher was on hand to help receive the money, as Burnham’s RNLI was Ron’s charity of the year

Gary Lumsden, store manager, said: “We’e always keen to support local charities and good causes and this is one of many ways we see the store helping out in the community.”
