A Burnham-On-Sea supermarket is giving free fresh fruit to children while their parents shop in the store.
Tesco in Ben Travers Way is offering a complimentary piece of fruit to youngsters as part of a healthy eating promotion.
Sara Hunt, fresh produce manager at the store, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Any parent can take a piece of fruit for their child to eat while they shop with us – we are offering apples, oranges and bananas.”
“The trial promotion is being run in Tesco stores across the country in support of British Heart Foundation, one of our charities of the year.”
Sara added: “We have received lots of very positive feedback from parents and their children. It helps them achieve one of their five portions a day of fruit and veg.”
