Summer Solstice celebration to be held today at Burnham church

-

Burnham-On-Sea’s St Andrew’s Church is marking the summer solstice today (Sunday) with a special event.

The gathering will be held by the labyrinth in the church grounds at 5pm.

It will include readings, a circle dance, time to walk the labyrinth, and drumming.

The event is open to anyone who wants to come along and celebrate the turning of the year. Refreshments will be available afterwards.

St Andrews Vicar Revernd Graham Witts toold Burnham-On-Sea.com: “It’s good to remember the turning of the year and remember how we are more affected by our climate than we think we are.”

“It’s an occasion to look back and to look forward for what the rest of 2015 will bring us here in Burnham-On-Sea.”
