Burnham-On-Sea RNLI’s fundraising campaign to raise £41,000 towards the cost of a new lifeboat has been given another boost.

The fund for the replacement of Burnham’s Puffin lifeboat has been given a donation by Mendip Rotary Club.

Mike Hiles, President of Mendip Rotary club, visited Burnham RNLI Lifeboat station for a look around the station and to present a cheque for £1,200 towards the appeal.

It was in fact, Mike’s last official act before handing over the presidency of Mendip Rotary, which is a sister club to Burnham-On-Sea Rotary Club.

Mike Hiles said: “We are happy to support Burnham-On-Sea RNLI to help the purchase of their new D Class lifeboat.”
