Local drivers named by police after being caught drink or drug driving

Three motorists in the Burnham-On-Sea area are among those charged by police with drink or drug driving offences in the opening week of the force’s Christmas road safety campaign.

Avon and Somerset Police are naming all those charged with a drink or drug driving offence during December and into the New Year as part of its Operation Tonic campaign.

Between December 1st-17th there were 81 people arrested, 53 have been charged or reported for drink/drug offences, 28 have been bailed pending further enquiries or face no further action. The three locals are from Burnham-On-Sea, Highbridge and Wedmore.
