Ahoy there! Pirate Day fun held on Burnham-On-Sea beach

A pirate-themed family fun day drew dozens of families to Burnham-On-Sea beach on Saturday (August 29th).

The family event was held on the town’s beach south of the jetty and saw a number of pirate-themed games, workshops, water games, giant bubbles and more taking place.

The young pirates were invited to take part in water bomb games, navigation challenges, walk the plank and compete in teams while watching out for the sharks!

Organiser Gaynor Brown from BOS Events said the event had been a great success and thanked all those who had supported it, including Morrisons who supplied 30 wooden pallets to construct the pirate rafts for the event.

Those who excelled during the event were able to have their skills certified by Captain Hook at the end of the event by purchasing a certificate.
