Pawlett British Legion Social Club unveils £20,000 refurbishment

-

A popular village club near Burnham-On-Sea has been given a £20,000 refurbishment.

The Pawlett Royal British Legion Social Club has held an official opening of its new look facilities this week.

It has been fully redecorated and modernised following months of hard work by the club’s members.

The club’s Linda Bullimore told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We now have a lovely clean and classy environment that members want to entertain in.”

The building has been refurbished with new carpets and floors, new-look furniture and the building also has new toilets and improved disability access throughout – all completed without an increase on the bar prices!

“The club is available for use in the daytime and with a meeting room, dining room and bar plus a skittle alley, pool table and darts area, it offers a wealth of ideas for companies – bonding days; conference days; even exam adjudication or training days – a daytime booking is exclusive,” added Linda.

She thanked all those members who have helped with the work in recent months. Burnham Maintenance, Burnham Upholsterers and Town and Country Flooring were among the local companies who also helped to ensure the project was a success.
