Police appeal for witnesses after crash at Burnham M5 junction

-

Police have appealed for witnesses to an accident at Burnham-On-Sea’s M5 motorway junction last weekend.

Officers were called to a single vehicle collision on Saturday 21st March at 7.23pm where the occupant left the scene.

A spokeswoman told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “A silver saloon car is thought to have crashed into the central reservation near the slip road at junction 22.”

“When we arrived the driver was not in the vehicle and couldn’t be found.”

“A police helicopter was deployed to locate the driver, however this was unsuccessful. The vehicle was towed away and our enquiries are ongoing.”

Anyone with information can contact Burnham Police via the non-emergency number 101.
