Newly-revived Burnham Royal British Legion back up and running

-

Burnham-On-Sea’s branch of the Royal British Legion has officially bounced back into life with branch meetings and coffee mornings now re-starting.

Burnham-On-Sea.com reported last September that the long-running organisation had been disbanded due to a lack of volunteers after a 75 year-history. However, dozens of residents then came forward to offer their help and get the legion re-started.

The newly-revived organisation is holding monthly branch meetings on the second Tuesday of each month at 7pm at its HQ in Victoria Street, Burnham. Committee meetings will also be held monthly from February on the fourth Tuesday of each month. Any issues can be raised for the committee’s attention by submitting them in writing to burnhamlegion@btinternet.com.

Regular coffee mornings will also restart from Tuesday 10th February from 10am-noon and any volunteers willing to help man these should contact the organiser, Gaynor Brown, by email at Gaynor.Brown1@talktalk.net.
