Sedgemoor District Council has this week invited the public’s feedback on plans for a huge expansion of Highbridge’s Isleport Business Park.

Burnham-On-Sea.com first reported earlier this month here that the proposed expansion of the business park could create up to 1,000 new jobs in coming years.

Sedgemoor District Council is considering the long-term expansion of the business park and has identified three potential development sites covering around 65 hectares of land.

The council’s Planning Policy Team has this week launched a consultation on the scheme, which is now open for comment until 28th August.

Council spokeswoman Claire Faun told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “This consultation is in respect of the identification of land for employment development adjacent to the existing Isleport Business Park. The objective is to gather views and comments from residents, businesses and land owners in the area as well as statutory consultees.”
