A fundraising bag pack in a supermarket was one of three events held in aid of Burnham-On-Sea’s Hillview Carnival Club over the weekend as the group starts building this year’s carnival cart.
A fundraising quiz night at the Ritz Social Club in Burnham’s Victoria Street on Friday night raised £75.
A day of bag packing at Burnham-On-Sea’s Tesco store during Saturday in return for donations for the club raised a huge £666, pictured above.
And an Easter Family Bingo session on Sunday at the Bay Centre in Cassis Close raised a further £280, rounding off a successful weekend with a total of £1,021.
Hillview Chairman Mark Bishop told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “A big thank you goes to everyone who who supported us, and the children co-ordinators who put in lots of work to make this a success. It’s been a great team effort.”
