A fireman in Burnham-On-Sea has been thanked for his service as he retires from his role.

Mike Hicks has been a firefighter at Burnham-On-Sea for 11 years and has helped to save the lives of many people in the area over that time.

During a presentation at Burnham Fire Station on Wednesday (September 16th), he was handed a certificate of service and a fireman’s axe.
