A teacher from Burnham-On-Sea who won the title of Miss Somerset earlier this year has reached the final of Miss England.

Emily Sanders, 22, won the title of Miss Somerset in May and has now reached the Grand Finale of Miss England and will represent Somerset at a ceremony in Coventry on August 13th and 14th.

Over 20,000 ladies applied for the prestigious Miss England title this year, and Emily is one of 50 ladies in the final after making it through the semi-finals on 5th July.

Emily, who said she’s delighted to be in the final, will compete in various rounds, including a talent round and charity round.

“I have been overwhelmed with the local support,” she told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“I am going to be working so hard to advance local causes in Somerset and I hope to be involved with as much as possible in the area. I really hope to do Somerset proud!”

Please support Emily in the finals by voting for her. You can do this by texting MISSENGLAND15 to 63333. Texts cost 50p plus your standard network rate. Please see the Miss England website for terms and conditions.

Emily thanked several local businesses who have supported her, who include Hair Craft, FresHair and Prime Photography, plus Churchfield Primary School.
