A cash machine kiosk in Burnham-On-Sea town centre has been left teetering at a precarious angle after being struck by a delivery lorry on Wednesday (January 7th).

The structure on the corner of Burnham’s High Street and Adam Street was partially toppled by the lorry, leaving it an angle and pulling up the pavement stones around it.

Town Centre Manager Beverley Milner Simonds told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “I am pleased that no one was hurt in this accident. I have received feedback in recent weeks from local traders who were concerned by the rust on the cash point so perhaps this incident will see the operators, Cardtronics UK Limited, replacing the whole unit since a cash machine in this location on the High Street is a valuable asset.”

The machine was first introduced in the High Street in 2005, as reported here.
