“In the spirit of the ‘carnival for the community’ with neighbourhood bonding between charity and community groups, the Carnival Queen Pageant organisation hopes an entrant will be selected who will not only reflect the resilience of Carnival but will represent and influence young people to get involved in the many projects which require personnel in our area.”

A spokesperson said: “The Carnival Queen will be chosen as an ambassador for the Carnival as well as the precincts of Highbridge and Burnham. It is hoped that the Carnival Queen will assist with community projects in the area over the year ahead.”

This year’s Highbridge and Burnham Carnival will take place on November 9th.
