Keith’s birthday donation boosts funds for Burnham’s BARB

-

The owner of a Burnham-On-Sea fish and chip shop has donated hundreds of pounds to a town charity after accepting donations from friends and family instead of birthday presents.

Keith Holman from Brit Chips recently celebrated his 60th birthday with a function in Bridgwater attended by many scores of friends.

A collection raised £370 for Burnham’s BARB Search & Rescue and a similar amount for St Margaret’s Hospice.

Keith said: “I was keen to support two charities where the money would stay local – BARB and the hospice were clear choices. I have long been a supporter of BARB and appreciate the work they do.”

A BARB spokesman said: “We are very grateful for Keith’s kind donation and thank him for his support of BARB over the years.”
