Burnham fire crew rescues boy, 9, whose foot became stuck in a gate

-

A fire crew from Burnham-On-Sea was called to help a nine year-old boy whose foot had become stuck on a metal gate on Sunday (Novenber 15th).

Fire and ambulance service crews were called to Withy Road in East Huntspill at 2pm where a 9 year-old boy had become stuck in the spokes of a metal gate.

“The crew attended and released the boy’s foot from the gate using small tools. He was then left in the care of his parents, who were also in contact with the ambulance service,” said a fire spokesman.

The boy’s foot was not fully impaled, as had been originally feared.
