A motorist has been formally charged with drink driving following this dramatic crash in Berrow.
Police were called to Barton Road soon after 2am on Saturday (December 12th) after residents reported the Peugeot 307 had slammed into a wall opposite Berrow Green.
Police spokesman Sam Malone told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “A 22 year-old man from Berrow has been charged with driving over the legal alcohol limit and will appear at Taunton magistrates court.”
One nearby resident said the sound of the crash had sounded “like an explosion” in the middle of the night.
