Burnham’s BARB Search & Rescue receives country and western cash

-

A Burnham-On-Sea charity has been given a £600 boost by country and western enthusiasts at Brean.

BARB Search & Rescue – which operates Burnham’s rescue hovercrafts and inshore rescue boats – was one of several good causes to receive a funding boost from The Tavern Country Music Club.

The club, based at Brean Leisure Park, presented £600 to BARB, as pictured, towards the life-saving charity’s running costs.

The Tavern Country Music Club’s Terry Clark said: “BARB does an important job in keeping our coastline safe. We are very keen to help local charities and keep the money local.”

The other charities also receiving funding from the club included Children’s Hospice South West.
