Burnham-On-Sea church to hold popular summer holiday club

Burnham-On-Sea Baptist Church has transformed its hall into a tropical island for this year’s children’s summer holiday club.

The club, called Going Bananas, will be held next week from August 24th to 28th every morning from 10am.

“The children will fly on Banana Airways to their tropical destination where they will find out about characters from the Bible who did something that seemed to be crazy, but actually turned out to be very sane indeed,” said a spokesman.

“The club is a mixture of bible stories, games, songs, messy fun, crafts and as always a slapstick drama, which is a popular feature every year.”

This is the tenth children’s holiday club that has been run by the Baptist Church and places are available for children aged 5-11.

The cost is £5 per child for the five mornings and all are welcome.

More details are available from the church’s website page or by calling the organisers now on 01278 794057.
