Hundreds of Volkswagens headed to Brean Beach on Sunday (April 13th) to raise funds for a children’s charity.

Over 600 vehicles attended the event, called Clubs Unite At the Beach, with Volkswagen groups from across the UK coming along.

It was held to raise funds for The Lullaby Trust, a charity that promotes expert advice on safer baby sleep and provides special support for bereaved families of young children.

“We were totally delighted with the support shown from the Volkswagen community – it was a great day and we hope to have raised lots of awareness and a good amount for the Lullaby Trust,” a spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

The event was held in memory of Zachary Bryson, who lost his life from a condition called SIDS – or cot death – at the age of just four months. The Lullaby Trust helped his family after the tragedy.
