Tributes paid to Burnham-On-Sea teenager after sudden death

-

Tributes have been paid to a Burnham-On-Sea teenager who has died this week.

18 year-old Charley Marks passed away on Wednesday evening (September 10th).

Scores of tributes for the former King Alfred School student have been posted online by his friends and family.

And over 200 youngsters have gathered in Burnham’s Manor Gardens on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings to take part in candlelit vigils.

Charley was a keen rugby player who had played for Burnham since he was aged five. A minute’s silence was held for the teenager before Saturday’s home game and money is to be raised for a memorial in his memory at the BASC Ground.

His family said that Charley was “a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew and dearly-loved friend to many.”
