Just swanning around! Wildlife carers rescue bird in town’s High Street

-

The unusual sight of a confused swan in Burnham-On-Sea’s High Street led to a rescue by local wildlife carers on Tuesday (September 23rd).

Carers from Secret World, based in East Huntspill, were called to the town centre shortly after 8am after several sightings of the swan.

Carer Greg Kelloway, pictured, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The bird was disorientated and, as a juvenile, had probably got split up from its family.”

“We took it to back to Secret World for a check over where it was found to be healthy, and then released it back into the wild in fields near the town later in the day.”
